Innovation runs through the heart of this company, rapidly expanding and in need of a likeminded Creative Print Designer.
JOB PURPOSE:
You will be working in a team of product/industrial designers, reporting to the Creative Lead, helping to materialise the creative vision for the new product lines. As well as being the point of reference for the rest of the design team on CMF/fashion-related developments and contents. This is an exciting and varied role that requires a proactive designer who thrives in a fast paced and vibrant environment and is able to remain calm under pressure. It is critical to have a good teamwork ethic and excellent communication skills.

• Excellent visualising skill in pattern design and overall concept presentation skills are a necessity
• Passionate in front end research and decoding trends with a strong ability to identify key print trends and creatively put the brands spin on the designs.

• A passion for innovation and technology
• Fashion brand awareness, predominantly Europe & North America
• Researching from a wide range of sources and designing the print, digitally and by hand.
• Able to create prints in repeat and scale appropriately.
• Reacting to sales information you will be responsible for designing commercially relevant prints, updating best sellers and ensuring newness throughout each collection
• You should be organised and focused, adhering to the critical path to meet deadlines, ensuring product is developed within the relevant timeframe
• Able to build relations with factories, advising on any necessary direction or print techniques
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITES:
• Previous experience working across all print categories – digital, hand work, repeat prints, print grading
• Experience in designing for branded products
• Fashion forward-thinking and directional trend print eye
• Brilliant time management and resilience
• Ability to communicate confidently, effectively and appropriately with colleagues and external contacts.
• Prepare and co-ordinate materials required for group workshops
• Liaise and co-create with industrial/product designers, to realise new design concepts and directions
• Produce colour and pattern palettes, maintaining a CMF roadmap document
• Produce technical specifications for ordering sample swatches and prototypes from the suppliers
• Visits to trade shows and far eastern suppliers, gathering the latest in design and innovation from the world of fashion and materials
• Ability to conduct full and thorough prototype/swatch reviews, recording the correction/feedback notes to share both internally and with suppliers
• Ensure the wider design department is kept abreast of current and future trends within your field of design
